MOSCOW, Oct 16 (PRIME) -- The largest chicken meat producers Cherkizovo, Agribusiness Group Resource and Prioskolye have started to cut the wholesale prices, the Federal Antimonopoly Service said on Monday.
"As a result of cooperation with the authority, the producers decided to reduce the sales price per broiler carcass. They have notified the Federal Antimonopoly Service of this," the service said.
The antitrust recommended that the retail chains cut the prices commensurably if the wholesale prices fall or a supplier offers a discount. The service would control fulfillment of the obligation of responsible pricing by the retailers.
